Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a HSEC Manager to join our Heath, Safety and Envivorment team in the in Belo Horizonte – MG office.
About The Role
- The position will be based in our Belo Horizonte – MG office, with regular travel to project sites to verify and monitor compliance with our HSE standards.
- Ensure compliance with current local legislation.
- Responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of the company’s HSE system in Brazil, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and applicable regulations.
- Define and plan the strategic objectives of the area, ensuring their integration with the Regional HSE strategy.
- Design and implement action plans and process standardization to strengthen the organization’s safety, health, and environmental culture.
- Develop and implement a Critical Risk and Regulatory HSE Standards Plan applicable to services and projects, considering the business environment.
- Manage and analyze safety data to identify critical risks, establish priorities, and define mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external audit programs to assess compliance and continuous improvement in HSE.
- Provide technical and strategic support to HSE Managers in local projects, ensuring the proper implementation of Critical Risk Management across all project stages.
- Ensure the application and continuous improvement of best practices in Health, Safety, and Environment, in line with AUSENCO’s standards.
About You
- Certified professionals with specializations in Occupational Health and Safety (with the respective Brazilian certifications).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE in corporate roles and leading mining or infrastructure projects.
- At least 10 years of specific experience in Health and Safety within EPC/EPCM projects in the region.
- Preferably, 3 to 5 years of experience as an HSE Manager (or a similar role) in EPC/EPCM construction projects for large-scale mining at both national and international levels.
- Experience in implementing Corporate HSE Systems and in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up processes is desirable.
- Advanced English proficiency and intermediate Spanish skills.
- Knowledge and experience in applying the following methodologies: Bow Tie / ICAM / ISO / SBC, as well as HSE technological solutions applicable to construction.
